Semowi Nature Camp sits on the bank of the Gomoti River just north of Shorobe, roughly halfway between Maun and Moremi Game Reserve — which makes it a practical base for self-drive travellers on that route, and a working farm as well as a camp.

Accommodation runs two ways. The ensuite tents are large, with comfortable beds, mosquito nets, private bathrooms, outdoor showers, and wide verandas that face the river. Hippos and crocodiles use the water in front of the tents, so you can watch them without going anywhere. Three private campsites sit in the northern part of the property, with hot showers and a dishwashing area; these suit overlanders and anyone travelling with their own gear. The open-air restaurant and bar are built above the river, so meals come with a direct view of the water below.

The camp is solar-powered and grows its own vegetables, herbs, and fruit, with eggs collected daily on-site. Goats, chickens, and dogs live on the farm.

Activities include mokoro day trips and sunset mokoro excursions on the Delta waterways, guided wildlife safaris, and visits to Elephant Havens, a nearby elephant orphanage. On-site photography classes cover both landscape and wildlife subjects. The camp also provides route-planning advice and self-drive guidance for Moremi, which matters because GPS is unreliable on these tracks and some access routes flood seasonally. Guests arriving after dark will find the camp genuinely hard to locate, so the property asks everyone to arrive before sunset and to follow the Matsaudi route rather than GPS directions.
