Søgaarden Hotel

Søgaarden is set on the shore of Sunds Sø, a ten-minute drive from Herning and the MCH Messecenter. The property runs three strands at once: a motorhome and camping ground, timber cabin suites styled as hotel rooms, and an à la carte restaurant across the road. It works. Twenty-three motorhome pitches sit on hard standing with direct power, and six further grass pitches take caravans, alongside space for tents and a fire pit. Cabin suites are built from natural materials and run without air conditioning, relying on natural ventilation instead; each has a private terrace, a kitchen with a Nespresso machine, a smart TV, and its own bathroom. Family suites add a second bedroom, sleeping two to four across two double beds. Guests fish, kayak and paddleboard from the lake's bathing jetty, or walk and cycle the shoreline on hire bikes. The restaurant serves one menu from lunch through evening, built around seasonal produce, with a terrace looking over the water; takeaway runs via QR code for camp guests. An 18-hole mini golf course sits on site, and function rooms hold up to 350 for weddings and corporate events. Guest wifi, laundry facilities and a service building cover the practical side. Check-out is by 11am.
