Shigira Bayside Suite ALLAMANDA

Set beside a lagoon where turtles swim past the terraces, Shigira Bayside Suite Allamanda faces Shigira Bay on Miyakojima's south coast. The 174 rooms are all suites, arranged across five separate wings: a main building with a lounge and boutique, a jacuzzi wing with terrace tubs, a lagoon wing overlooking the turtle water, a villa wing across the water from it, and a standalone premier house for guests wanting more privacy. Close to half the suites have their own pool. Some add a daybed or a garden gazebo instead. Bougainvillea, plumeria and lantana crowd the walkways between buildings, and from most terraces the sea reads in the deep blue locals call Miyako blue. A swimming pool and garden sit apart from the beachside pool, and a dry sauna rounds out the wellness side. A free shuttle connects the property to the wider Shigira Seven Miles Resort, including its thirty-odd restaurants and the mainland-facing beach itself, a walk or short ride away depending on the tide of guests headed the same direction.
