Silvan Safari

Arriving by light aircraft and road transfer from the lodge's own airstrip, guests reach Silvan Safari through leadwood and jackalberry forest in the northern Sabi Sand, part of the greater Kruger system. The Manyeleti River runs past the property, drawing elephant and other game close to camp. Six suites and one family unit make up the lodge, each with a private plunge pool, a furnished deck, and a design theme drawn from a different indigenous tree. It is a compact stay. Game drives run twice daily with an FGASA-qualified guide, and walking safaris are offered alongside them. Sabi Sand's open boundaries with Kruger allow game to move freely, and Silvan's traffickers and rangers have built a strong record of leopard sightings, along with regular encounters with lion, wild dog, and the rest of the Big Five. Meals draw on regional South African produce, from Karoo lamb to Cape citrus, served on a breakfast deck, in the Modjaji dining room, or under outdoor gazebos, with a wine list built around South African vintages including an exclusive house label. You can often hear hippos from the suites after dark. Exclusive use of the property accommodates up to fourteen guests across six suites, with two Land Rovers reserved for private use. Check-in runs from 2pm, check-out from 11am.
