Guided safari walks

On foot in the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, a guide and tracker lead the way across ground vehicles cannot reach. The pace is slower than a game drive, which means more attention to detail: birdlife, medicinal plants, and the tracks and signs that explain what has passed through. Grassland mammals such as buffalo, giraffe and kudu are common sightings, and elephant or wild dog occasionally appear. Guides identify bird calls with notable precision. The terrain is varied, spanning open grassland and denser bush. A minimum age of sixteen is suggested, though participation is ultimately at the guide's discretion.
