Singita Castleton sits inside the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which shares an unfenced border with Kruger National Park. The lodge is booked as a whole — six individual cottages arranged around a main house — so every group has the property to themselves. Two of the cottages connect, which works for families with children.

Each stay comes with a dedicated field guide, tracker, chef, housekeeper, and a private Land Rover. Game drives run morning and night; guided walks take you into the bush on foot with the same guide and tracker reading spoor and vegetation as they go. The Big Five move through this part of the reserve, and nocturnal drives cover what the daylight hours miss.

The main house has a country-style kitchen where the chef works and guests can watch or take an informal cooking lesson. A large pool on the front lawn overlooks a watering hole where animals come to drink — elephant, buffalo, and smaller game pass through regularly. Behind the main house there is a wine cellar staffed by a sommelier, a spa with treatment rooms, a gym with views into the bush, and a tennis court.

The interiors use flagstone floors, country furniture, and a mix of neutral tones with traditional tartan textiles. Broad verandas extend each living space toward the watering hole. All six cottages have private pools and individual decks.

The nearest commercial airport is Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, roughly an hour's drive away.
