Singita Mara River Tented Camp

Singita Mara River Tented Camp sits at the northernmost tip of Serengeti National Park, in the Lamai Triangle, directly on the Mara River. The camp holds six tents for up to sixteen guests — a small number by design, which keeps the camp quiet and the wildlife close.

Two of the six are family tents: each pair is connected by a covered walkway and shares a deck, so families sleep in separate rooms while remaining on the same footprint. All tents are built with natural materials and generous light. Each has an en-suite outdoor bathroom with a viewing section cut into the screen wall — the bathtub looks out toward the river. The camp is built to leave a minimal mark on the land it occupies.

The Lamai Triangle sits where the wildebeest migration crosses the Mara River on its northern loop, and the concentration of wildlife in this part of the Serengeti is among the highest in the park. Game viewing runs from June through March; the migration crossings are at their most intense from July to November. The camp closes in March and April during the long rains and reopens once the season turns.
