Singita Sabora Tented Camp

Sabora sits on the Grumeti concession in western Tanzania, nine canvas suites placed low to the ground so that the sounds, smells, and movements of the bush come through without filter. Glass panels on each suite open the interior to the Serengeti plains outside, and the furniture — modern versions of the old campaign style in earthy browns and ochres — fits the landscape it looks out on.

Each of the nine suites is self-contained: private pantry, dining area, fitness space, and a meditation deck. Outdoor salas with daybeds face one of the camp's two waterholes, so game-viewing requires nothing more than staying put. The main lodge holds a guest deli stocked with gourmet provisions — wicker baskets and chilled items guests can carry back to their suites — alongside two dining rooms, a bar and lounge, and a pool area.

The Grumeti concession lies along the wildebeest migration circuit, and the herds pass through on their annual movement across the plains. Game-viewing is available all year, and rangers lead guided walks on foot for those who want to cover ground at closer range.

Light aircraft connect into the Grumeti airstrip, the nearest access point to the camp.
