A hilltop scout post guarding Grumeti's 350,000 acres

Observation Post 7 sits atop a hill overlooking the grassy plains of the Grumeti concession, one of twelve such posts staffed by the Singita Grumeti Fund's anti-poaching scouts. Two scouts are stationed here for a week at a time, watching constantly for poachers, stray vehicles or cattle, or animals in distress. Guests meet the scouts, see how they live and work, and hear a guide explain an infographic board detailing the unit's focus areas and results. The visit is timed around morning coffee or afternoon drinks, taken in with the view. The path up is steep dirt track, so sturdy walking shoes matter.
