Singita Balloon Safari

A hot air balloon, chartered through Serengeti Balloon Safaris, lifts guests over the Serengeti at sunrise. Balloons carry eight, twelve or sixteen passengers, with flights lasting roughly one hour depending on wind. The route drifts low over grassland and acacia forest, then climbs to around 1,000 feet for a wider view of the reserve, wildlife visible below throughout. Flights run daily year-round, weather permitting, and should ideally be booked through Singita reservations before arrival. Children over seven may fly, with no upper age limit, though guests must be reasonably mobile. All pilots hold commercial balloon licences under Tanzanian Civil Aviation Authority regulation.
