Black marble floors and floor-to-ceiling windows mark the Sodeco Suite, the hotel's top-floor room on level 11, where the view runs across Beirut's rooftops toward the sea. Sodeco Suites rises eleven floors above Damascus Road, in the middle of Achrafieh's Sodeco district, a mix of apartment blocks, coffee shops and corporate offices. The hotel holds 95 rooms and suites, each with its own kitchenette, air conditioning and a smart TV with satellite channels. Standard rooms run 27 m², simply furnished with a desk, safe and twin or queen bed; the Sodeco Suite stretches to 84 m² and splits into a salon, living room, bedroom and kitchen, with a jacuzzi and bar built into the lounge area. Bathrooms throughout carry marble flooring and a full set of amenities. You can watch Beirut's traffic thin out at night from the upper floors, or walk down to Sodeco Square for a film and dinner. A lobby lounge and bar serves drinks and light meals through the evening, and a two-floor fitness centre splits cardio and weight training between levels. Two meeting rooms hold up to 50 people, useful for the business travellers the district still draws. Beirut's airport lies 10 km away, about 20 minutes by car. Check-in runs from 2pm.
