Sofitel Singapore City Centre
Part of Phasec create
Sofitel Singapore City Centre sits in the Tanjong Pagar district of the central business district, directly above the MRT station of the same name — which makes it one of the more straightforwardly connected hotels in the city. Around it are the historic shophouses of Tanjong Pagar and the office towers of the CBD.
The hotel is a Sofitel property, the French-headquartered brand, and the interior design works that identity hard. The public spaces reference the formal gardens of France; the rooms and suites carry botanical motifs drawn from Singapore's own flora. In the lobby, a large sculptural installation of crystal leaves — titled Singapour Je T'aime — marks the entrance.
For eating and drinking, the hotel has a restaurant serving both French and local Chinese food, a tea lounge, a bar, and a coffee bar. The fitness offering runs to multiple options, and there is an outdoor pool.
Function rooms handle meetings and events. The hotel also has dedicated space for larger gatherings, which, combined with the MRT access directly below, makes it a practical choice for business travel as well as leisure stays. Tanjong Pagar's shophouse streets, with their cafes and restaurants, are within walking distance of the entrance.
