Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge

Isla Parida is a remote island in Panama's Gulf of Chiriquí, and the lodge sits on its shore facing open Pacific water. It is off the grid, reached only by boat from David, and built specifically around access to Hannibal Bank, roughly 38 miles out, where black marlin and yellowfin tuna gather over deep structure. Guests sleep in one of three guesthouses, two with three bedrooms and one with two, framed from tropical hardwood cut and milled on the island itself. Each room holds air conditioning, hot water, a flat-screen television and Wi-Fi, plain comforts against a wild setting. A stone path runs from the guesthouses down to the beach, where the boats wait each morning. The lodge fishes from five 33-foot catamarans, twin-engine and radar-equipped, built for marlin, tuna, roosterfish and cubera snapper across the gulf's inshore and offshore grounds. Meals run family-style, with breakfast made to order, boat lunches packed fresh, and a nightly happy hour before dinner on an open-air patio. The bar pours without a tab. Beyond fishing, guests can snorkel or kayak the surrounding water. At night, with no real cell signal, the only sound is the Pacific against the shore.
