Facing the lagoon at Business Bay, the hotel's lower floors catch the flat glare of water that will eventually link to a canal running through the city toward the Gulf. A paved path runs along the waterfront behind the property, open for an evening walk once the heat lifts. Rooms are grouped by view: Superior categories face the city, while Deluxe rooms and the Superior Suite look over the lagoon instead, at 32 to 48 square metres. Executive rooms, also 32 square metres, are angled toward Burj Khalifa, and the Presidential Suite, at 125 square metres, keeps the lagoon view at the top of the range. The Executive Suite by Roland-Garros is the largest standard room, at 93 square metres with a lake outlook. Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall are both a short walk away, close enough that guests can cover the distance on foot rather than by taxi. It is a compact stay, built for movement rather than for lingering by the pool, though a pool is there too. Check-in runs from 2pm, checkout by noon. The rear terrace and bayside path give the hotel its one genuinely coastal note in a location otherwise built on concrete and glass, and it is a fair trade for the skyline it delivers in return.
