Strand Hotel Swakopmund

Framed by floor-to-ceiling glass, the 13-metre atrium runs the length of the building and opens to the Atlantic at both ends. The Strand Hotel sits on the Mole, a promenade encircled by the ocean on three sides and the Namib dunes on the fourth, with the town centre a five-minute walk through the central park. The hotel holds 125 rooms. Standard Rooms feature panoramic sliding doors to garden-view balconies, king or twin beds, and en-suite bathrooms with separate toilets. Junior Suites and Luxury Suites add open-plan lounges, double vanities, and sea-facing balconies over the main beach. The Presidential Suite includes a separate master bedroom, walk-in dressing room, fireplace, and terrace.

Three sea-facing restaurants occupy the ground floor, each with its own terrace. Brewer & Butcher pairs a microbrewery and beer garden with Namibian and German meat dishes. Farmhouse Deli opens at 06h00 for breakfast and serves bistro fare, cakes, and speciality coffee through to evening. Ocean Cellar is a seafood restaurant and oyster bar with a show kitchen and wines by the glass. The Welwitschia Lounge off the lobby offers cocktails, teas, and light snacks beside an open fireplace.

A wellness centre provides spa treatments. The beach kiosk offers drop-off service to the shore. Facilities include a conference centre, business services, secure parking, laundry, and a travel desk. Staff speak English, Afrikaans, and German.
