A Classic Japanese Room, tucked into a quieter corner of the property, keeps a tatami layout and a view often overlooked by guests heading straight for the lakefront rooms. Four-person rooms accommodate families or small groups, with configurations of twin, double or tatami bedding. The hotel's restaurant serves dishes built around local Nantou ingredients and has recently updated its set menu. It is a lake-facing base rather than a resort compound. Guests can join stand-up paddleboarding on the lake, taking advantage of what locals consider some of Taiwan's calmest open water.
