Sunset At The Palms
Raised on stilts among palms and tropical planting, the treehouse-style rooms at Sunset At The Palms give each guest a private balcony looking into the canopy rather than a car park or corridor. The resort sits a short walk from Negril's long white sand beach, on Jamaica's western coast in Hanover Parish. It is adults-only and all-inclusive, with 85 rooms across three categories, from Treetop Superior with Balinese decor and slate-tiled bathrooms to two-level Treetop Suites with a separate upstairs bedroom. Five restaurants cover the range, from the buffet spread at Palm Grove to à la carte tasting menus at Lotus Leaf, with jerk and cold Red Stripe served steps from the sand at Palm Breeze Beach Bar & Grill. A swim-up bar anchors the main pool. You can borrow a kayak, paddleboard or sail catamaran from the beach club at no extra cost, and the on-site PADI dive centre runs trips out to Negril's reef arches and coral gardens. Guided garden walks pass through the grounds most mornings, past a resident goat kept as something of a mascot. Evenings settle around live piano at the Irie Martini Bar or a Wednesday beach barbecue at sunset. Rooms carry Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a daily-stocked minibar as standard.
