Two villas and five apartments set above Fort-de-France bay in Martinique

Built into the hillside above Fort-de-France bay, Tangarane grew from a private estate into two villas and five apartments spread across Les Trois-Îlets. The domain sits back from the coast road toward Pointe du Bout, screened by garden and reached through a gated entrance. Each villa runs to 236 square metres, built around a private pool and creole-style timber framing, with room for up to eight adults. Villa Pitons faces the Baie des Flamands and keeps a stone pool and a wine cellar; Villa Fonds Blancs opens wider toward the light. The apartments climb over several floors under a creole roof frame, four with two bedrooms and one, at the top, with three bedrooms and 220 square metres of panoramic terrace. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. You can watch sailboats cross the bay from the terrace as the Pitons du Carbet darken at dusk. Beaches, restaurants and the marina at Pointe du Bout lie a ten-minute walk downhill, though the slope back up makes a car worth having. A concierge service arranges transfers, private chefs and boat excursions. Check-in runs from 4pm.
