Immersive Bush walks
On foot in the Kalahari, reading the ground
Skip to product information
Guides lead this walk at a slower pace, teaching guests to notice what the sand and vegetation reveal: tracks left by passing animals, a tree changing with the season, small shifts in the terrain that point to movement or a recent kill. The aim is close observation rather than covering distance, using sight, smell and touch to understand what has happened in that patch of reserve. For safety, participants must be sixteen or older. Younger children instead join the Junior Ranger Programme, with guided walks, spoor identification and track casting suited to their age.
