The Malori
A star bed under canvas, on the dunes
Malori, meaning "dreamer" in Setswana, is Tswalu's under-canvas sleep-out, set on raised decking above the dunes with views across the veld to the horizon. Guests arrive after a game drive, settle in for sunset drinks and snacks, then dinner: either a four-course tasting menu served by a chef and waiter, or a relaxed tapas-style spread for more privacy. Staff leave after serving, leaving guests alone with the night sky. The tent has two twin beds lit by lantern (there is no electricity), plus an open-air bathroom with flush toilet, basin and hand-held shower behind it. It sleeps up to two adults and two children.
