The Beachfront

Praia D'El Rey Golf & Beach Resort, on Portugal's coast at Amoreira, Óbidos, built its Beachfront quarter into the northern edge of the estate, closest of its three accommodation types to the sea. The apartments and townhouses sit a short walk from the shore, each with a balcony or terrace facing the Atlantic and the golf course beyond. It is a compact stay by design. The T2 apartment sleeps four across two bedrooms, one en suite, the other with twin beds, roughly 200 metres from the beach. The Townhouse T3 spreads over three floors, with three en-suite bedrooms and a separate bathroom, built for larger groups who want space to spread out. Every unit has a kitchen fitted with an espresso machine, dishwasher, and washer-dryer, along with air conditioning or central heating depending on the building. Guests share an outdoor pool and a small fitness room, and can walk to the Maré restaurant and the resort's market and activity club in season. You can watch the ocean change light from the terrace through the day. Maid service runs on a rolling basis, lighter every two days, fuller every five. Parking, wi-fi, and a resort shuttle are included, and small pets are permitted for an extra fee.
