The Branson Estate
Arriving by speedboat from Tortola, guests reach Moskito Island in about 30 minutes and step straight onto a private stretch of sand. The Branson Beach Estate occupies the island's northeast tip, where Headland House sits on a rocky outcrop with sea views from every bedroom and a wraparound infinity pool. Two more villas complete the estate: Beach Villa, tucked above the shore with its own pool and direct beach access, and Mangrove Villa, set among mangrove trees and linked to the others by raised wooden walkways. Together the three sleep up to 22 guests. Mangrove Villa faces east towards Necker Island and Virgin Gorda, so the light shifts through the day as the sun tracks across the channel. Days run on trade winds and clear water: paddleboards, kayaks, Hobie Cats and snorkel gear are on hand at the shore, and a fleet of boats can be arranged for fishing or trips out to Jost Van Dyke. On land, 1.5 miles of trails cross the island's 125 acres, and two floodlit tennis courts sit above a gym with a Peloton and rowing machines. Meals move around the estate too, from poolside lunches to beach barbecues at the estate's own cove. It is a self-contained corner of the island. Spa treatments, arranged through the team on nearby Necker Island, round out a stay built for slow mornings and long swims.
