Built in 1928 as a Cape Dutch Revival residence, The Claremont Boutique Hotel stands in the leafy suburb of Claremont, minutes from Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and the Constantia wine valley. The manor house and its gardens hold fifteen rooms across three categories. Two of the four Classic Rooms occupy the original house; the remaining two sit in garden cottages. Each carries a queen bed, en-suite bathroom, and views toward Newlands Forest or Table Mountain. Ten Deluxe Rooms are distributed between the manor and the pool courtyard — a shaded space ringed by mature trees — and include king beds, full en-suite bathrooms with separate bath and shower, lounge areas, and outdoor terraces opening onto landscaped gardens or the pool. The Sauer Suite, named after architect Magda Sauer, offers private access, its own pool and garden, a king bed, lounge with fireplace, and verandah.
Veld & Vine Bistro serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, drawing on seasonal Western Cape produce and wines from the Constantia Valley. The kitchen adjusts menus with the seasons. Koffiehuis operates all day, offering barista-made coffee, baked goods, and high tea with koeksisters, rusks, and milktart. The 1928 Craft Bar — named for the year the manor was completed — stocks South African wines, craft spirits, and cocktails. A pool lies within the private garden courtyard. Concierge service arranges activity bookings. Secure parking is on-site. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Table Mountain National Park are accessible by car.
