The Falcon Hotel

Set above the coast road in Sandvig, on Bornholm's northern tip, The Falcon Hotel looks out over the Baltic Sea and the rock formations of its own Cliff Garden. Founded in 1905, when steamships still brought guests to the island, the building has kept its perch above the road through more than a century of changing decor. Thirty-four rooms spread across three separate houses: the Main House, with seven individually furnished rooms upstairs and a ground floor built for lounging and long dinners; the Garden House, eighteen rooms renovated in 2021 among rock outcrops and windswept trees; and the Guest House, redesigned the same year, with private terraces facing Hammerknuden and parking at the door. Roe deer and hares pass through the Garden House grounds. You can eat on the terrace above the sea or by the fire in the Main House lounge. A ballroom seats up to seventy for private events, with its own bar and direct access to the rock garden. Check-in starts at 3pm. Pets are welcome in the Guest House, and staff there will set out bowls on request.
