The Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo
Set on the Nile Corniche in downtown Cairo, the hotel faces the river where feluccas still cross under Qasr El Nil Bridge. Tahrir Square sits close by. The Egyptian Museum stands 550 metres off, and the Pyramids of Giza are a 20-kilometre drive. Government ministries and the Arab League building line the surrounding streets, a position that has made the hotel a fixture for both diplomats and Cairo weddings for more than 50 years. Inside, the outdoor pool runs 52 metres and is the largest in downtown Cairo, ringed by 17 cabanas. The spa holds nine treatment rooms, one kept for couples, with rituals drawn from Egyptian bathing traditions: milk foot baths, sea-salt scrubs, mineral mud. A 24-hour gym on the second floor looks out over the city through floor-to-ceiling glass. For business travel, the hotel carries 18 event rooms across 6,299 m², including the Al Qahira ballroom, which can seat 1,040 for a banquet. You can walk to Khan el-Khalili bazaar or take a Nile cruise straight from the hotel's front step. Rooms keep to a practical set: private bath, workspace, mini-fridge, tea and coffee tray. It is, above all, a downtown address built for movement between the ancient city and the working one.
