Set beneath the high, coffered ceiling of its lobby, The Peninsula Manila has long served as the city's meeting point, a marble-floored room where deals and reunions have played out under chandeliers since the hotel opened five decades ago. Guests can book Peninsula Time, which allows arrival from 6am and departure as late as 10pm at no extra cost. Concierge staff also arrange helicopter transfers from the airport to a private helipad on site, a detail that says as much about Manila traffic as it does about the hotel's reach.
