The Vera Hotel
The Vera Hotel is set on Lilienblum Street, in Neve Tzedek, the oldest neighbourhood in Tel Aviv and a short walk from the shops and galleries around it. The building holds 39 rooms, each finished in oak with brass and leather furniture made by a Tel Aviv studio, and dressed in 400-thread Egyptian cotton linen. Some rooms open onto a French balcony; the Garden Room has its own patch of planting at lower ground level. Bath products come from an organic skincare workshop that grows its ingredients on a family farm in the western Negev. Continental breakfast is served daily, and a bar sits off the lobby, pouring wines from small Israeli producers. Up top, a rooftop terrace runs on 24-hour access for guests, with weekly yoga and Pilates sessions and sundown drinks. There is a small fitness centre on site, and a gym round the corner offers guests free drop-in classes. It is a compact, design-led stay rather than a resort. The hotel's furniture, textiles and lighting were commissioned from designers working in the city, giving the interiors a consistent, handmade feel rather than an imported one. Reception runs around the clock, and the concierge team leans on local knowledge, from running routes to neighbourhood recommendations, in keeping with the hotel's stated focus on homegrown craft and produce.
