The Verandah Resort & Spa
Private verandahs face Lover's Beach and Devil's Bridge National Park on Antigua's northeast coast
Framed by a private verandah in every room, each suite here looks out over garden, hillside, or open water along Antigua's northeast coast. The resort sits on 30 acres of beachfront, bordered by Devil's Bridge National Park, where the Atlantic has carved a limestone arch into the shore. Hillside, Waterview, Waterfront, and Superior Waterfront Suites each run 700 sq. ft., single-storey with vaulted ceilings, granite counters, and a walk-in shower. Two-bedroom villas add 1,400 sq. ft. and a full kitchen; the Plunge-Pool villas sit above Lover's Beach with their own private pool on the balcony. It is an adults-only, all-inclusive property. Four pools thread through the grounds, including a waterfall pool and one reserved for villa guests, and Lover's Beach and Rasta Beach both front the resort directly. You can hear the surf from the Beach Grill, feet in the sand, or take a paddle board out past the reef break at Rasta Beach. Dining runs across five restaurants and four bars, from Italian at Portofino to seafood at Sails & Tales overlooking Lover's Beach. Tranquility Body & Soul Spa runs treatments daily from 9am to 7pm. Housekeeping is provided every other day, part of the resort's water and energy saving practice. Check-in is at 3pm, check-out at 11am.
