Thulhagiri is a small coral island in North Malé Atoll, ringed by white sand and reached by speedboat in 20 minutes from the airport. The island covers just 31,544 square metres, dense with palm trees and threaded by paths between the rooms. It is compact enough to walk in minutes. Accommodation splits across three types: 50 beach bungalows at 53 square metres, 17 water bungalows at 56 square metres, and 20 superior water bungalows at 78 square metres, the last with outdoor showers and direct steps down to the house reef. Bathrooms throughout run to open-air showers and soaking tubs, a detail that matters more here than any turndown gesture. The house reef itself sits just offshore, close enough to snorkel without a boat, and forms the resort's main draw for both beginners and certified divers working the wider Baa and North Malé atolls. A dive centre runs daily boat trips alongside the reef access, and the resort's excursion programme covers dolphin cruises, sunset fishing and visits to nearby local islands. Meals run as buffet service across the day in the main restaurant, with a separate coffee shop on the sand-bar for something quieter. In the evening, the beach faces west across open ocean, useful for anyone tracking the sunset from a lounge chair rather than a boat deck.
