Set between sugar cane fields and stretches of sandy beach, Titalee Lodge sits in the countryside near Saint-François, on Guadeloupe's Grande-Terre. Small wild coves and beaches lie a short drive away, along with local bakeries. The lodge itself is built around four cottages, Kalyaan, Sapana, Surya Sunrise and Surya Sunset, each set into a shared tropical garden and named for a Hindi word: wellbeing, dream, sunrise and sunset. It is a compact stay, but a varied one.
Kalyaan sleeps up to six across three bedrooms, one on a mezzanine, with an open kitchen and two terraces looking over the pool and garden. Sapana takes four, with two en-suite bedrooms and a mezzanine nook meant for lounging, plus two terraces of 23 m² and 18 m². Surya Sunset, done in warm orange tones, holds three to five guests and adds a kitchenette out on its terrace. Surya Sunrise is the smallest, a double built for two.
All four share an 8 x 4 m pool with a shallow relaxation end, sun loungers, and a thatched carbet strung with a hammock. You can hear little beyond the garden from the terraces. A barbecue is available on request, and each cottage keeps its own washing machine access. Wi-Fi runs free throughout, and parking sits behind a coded gate.
