Triple Creek Ranch

Triple Creek Ranch is set among pines on the southern side of Trapper Peak, the tallest summit in Montana's Bitterroot range. The West Fork River runs at the base of the property. Private log cabins and larger ranch homes sit through the trees around a central Main Lodge, each fitted with a fireplace, Wi-Fi, and a fridge. It is adults-only. Opened to guests in 1986 and run by the same owners since 1993, the ranch joined Relais & Châteaux in 1996 and holds two Michelin Keys and a four-star Forbes rating. Meals are included and served in a vaulted-ceiling dining room, on the deck, by the pool, or in-cabin, with menus changed daily by chef Jacob Leatherman, who has led the kitchen since 2005. A Chef's Table seats guests in view of the kitchen for a five-course tasting menu paired from a cellar of premium vintages. Beyond the Main Ranch, the CB Ranch spans over 26,000 acres along the Bitterroot River, with a working cattle herd, roaming bison, and land under conservation easement; guests reach it for scenic drives, team penning, or horseback rides. Guides take anglers onto the Bitterroot and Salmon Rivers for catch-and-release trout fishing, and winters bring skiing at Lost Trail, a half hour away. Original western art, over 1,500 pieces, lines the lodge walls and cabins throughout.
