Four rocky hills, including Botswana's highest point, jut strikingly out of the surrounding Kalahari Desert
plains to form Tsodilo, a UNESCO World Heritage Sitein the remote northwest of the country; a definite a 'must see' for those seeking more than wildlife from their time in Botswana.
The hills are one of the most historically significant rock sites in the world, with over 500 paintings, and some believed to be over 20,000 years old. This gives you the opportunity to visit 2 UNESCO world heritage sites in a day. We have use of a helicopter that is based very close to Mopiri. You can be picked up by heli, enjoy a 30 minute scenic flight to the hills, spend time exploring the site, enjoy a lunch, and then fly back to the lodge.
