Txai Itacare Resort

Set into 92 hectares of native Atlantic rainforest on Itacarezinho beach, Txai occupies a former coconut and cocoa farm inside a protected environmental area south of Itacaré. Three kilometres of beach run below the property, shielded from the road by palm groves rather than by any wall or fence. Each is private, none overlooks another. The reserve borders sit within the same protected forest corridor that halted logging decades ago, and Txai has since funded a community institute supporting 23 farming families directly and over 150 more through its produce market. On the beach itself, a turtle-monitoring programme run with the local university tracks nests year-round, with guests able to adopt and follow a clutch through to hatching. It is a working stretch of coast as much as a resting one.
