Tynecastle Park Hotel

Set inside the stands of Tynecastle Park, this 25-room hotel occupies the home ground of Heart of Midlothian Football Club, a short walk from Haymarket Station and Edinburgh's West End. The club owns and runs it outright, and the hotel's earnings feed back into the team rather than an outside operator. Rooms come in five categories, from Plaza to Plaza Executive, each fitted with air conditioning, a safe and Molton Brown toiletries. The Roseburn rooms carry a live feed of the pitch. It is a stadium stay, not a suburban one. On the third floor, the Skyline Restaurant looks out over the city and serves a menu that changes quarterly, alongside breakfast served daily and lunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday. Guests can also book the Ultimate Matchday Experience, which pairs a stadium tour with dinner in the Skyline and a seat in the Executive European lounge on matchday. Eight event suites, including the Hearts Museum and the first-team changing rooms, host everything from board meetings to gala dinners. Late check-out to noon is available on request for direct bookings. The result is a hotel built around one club's routine, still open to those with no interest in football at all.
