Áurea Legends
Áurea Legends is set in a building dating from 1864, a short walk from Prague's historic centre. The facade is old Prague; the interior runs to marble, gilt trim, and brass fittings, a deliberate nod to the city's ornamental past. Fifty rooms and suites are arranged across the property, including duplex rooms with sofa beds and superior doubles finished in a more contemporary register. Room categories extend to apartments and junior suites, each fitted with a minibar, safety deposit box, and LCD television. Wall panels throughout the public spaces carry illustrated versions of five Prague legends, among them the Golem and the tale of Prince Bayaya, so a walk to the lift becomes a small history lesson. The hotel sits in Nové Město, close enough to Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square to reach on foot. Breakfast runs as a buffet each morning. Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout, and the front desk operates around the clock. There is no on-site parking. Pets are not permitted. The surrounding streets belong to Prague's UNESCO-listed historic centre, dense with the same stone and stucco the hotel's own decor borrows from. It is a compact stay, built for guests who want the centre underfoot rather than a view of it from a taxi window.
