Set in a park along Sardinia's northern coast, Valle dell'Erica Thalasso & SPA looks out over the Bocche di Bonifacio, with granite rock smoothed by sea and wind and small coves cut into the shoreline. It is a five-star resort built around water in most of its forms: sea, pool, and spa. The beach lies a short walk from the rooms, a stretch of gold sand giving way to hidden coves further along the coast. Suites are built in a contemporary style, using natural materials and wood furniture made by local craftsmen, and each has its own layout facing the sea. The wellness centre runs thalasso circuits alongside multi-function pools and treatment cabins, drawing on the sea itself for its programme. You can eat at any of seven restaurants, from grilled Sardinian meat and fish to a beachside lunch of pasta by the pool. One restaurant, Li Zini, sits directly on a cove, serving lobster and shellfish with bare feet on the sand, weather permitting. Children have their own club and pool, plus a canoe-based excursion along the coast bordering the resort. The property has held Europe's Leading Green Resort title since 2019 and Italy's Leading Green Resort since 2020. Olbia airport is 45 minutes away by car.
