Victoria Falls Horse Safaris

Calling all novice, experienced and ‘I think I can do this’ horse riders in the Victoria Falls area, we have the perfect holiday activity for you.

Our horseback rides depart from the Minor Resort along trails within the National Park, taking you through scenic African Bushveld with good bird watching and the exciting possibility of spotting wildlife. We offer half hour children’s pony rides, two-hour trails and half day outrides ending with lunch in the fragrant herb garden.  

We have twelve dedicated trail ponies, with the most delightful names like King’s Glory, Night Landing, Storm, Bluff, Countess, Later, Treacle and Tamarind. The ponies are well trained and friendly, and are experienced wildlife trail ponies. The weight limit for riding is 100kg/220 pounds.

Victoria Falls Horse Safaris operates two Victorian style carriages beautifully finished in Royal Blue. They offer not only a feeling of nostalgia, but also comfort and an elevated view; ideally suited for special occasions. Our finely crafted carriages are comfortable and authentic, offering a truly unique way to tour the Minor Hotels Resort complex.
Horses that are specially trained for carriage pulling are used for the carriage rides. Our smartly dressed and experienced coachmen are knowledgeable horse riders, and experienced in carriage riding. They know the surrounding areas well, also taking on the role of a knowledgeable guide.

We also offer amazing horseback rides from the Minor Hotels Resort along trails within the National Park. The trails take you through scenic African Bushveld with the possibility of spotting game along the route.
