Vila Carissa

Built up over several apartments and rooms rather than as a single hotel block, Vila Carissa has grown into one of Malinska's larger private stays on the island of Krk. The whole villa takes up to 16 guests across nine bedrooms and 20 beds, with roughly twelve and a half bathrooms between them. Guests can also book by the apartment: Mirta and Orhidea each hold two to four people in 56 square metres, with sea views east and west respectively, while Tisa and Tamaris sleep up to five in larger 70 square metre layouts with two bedrooms apiece. Lavanda, a simpler ground-floor room, takes two. Every unit opens onto its own terrace of around 15 square metres, and all share one swimming pool on the grounds. Kitchens are fully equipped in the apartments; Lavanda's is a communal one downstairs. Malinska itself sits on Krk's western shore, its water clear enough for swimming straight off the rock and sand, and a coastal path runs some 5 kilometres north to Njivice. Walkers and cyclists can follow around 50 kilometres of marked paths inland toward Dobrinje and Krk town. It is a short walk from the villa to the sea.
