Viñales sits inland, ringed by the limestone mogotes of its national park, but the coast is close enough to be part of the stay. Villa El Habano works from that position: a base for mornings among tobacco farms and caves, and afternoons that end at the sea. Cayo Jutías, a quiet stretch of sand and coral reef on the north coast, is a common run out from the villa, often paired with a stop at the Santo Tomás cavern, one of the largest cave systems in Cuba. The reef here draws swimmers rather than crowds; the water stays clear and the beach empty by the standards of Cuba's busier coasts. Rooms at the villa are plain and comfortable, each with a private bathroom, air conditioning, hairdryer and minibar. Breakfast is made on request. Outdoor terraces catch the morning light before guides arrive for treks into the valley, through routes like Palmarito and the Valley of Silence, or before a horse or bike heads out toward the coast. Private parking and room service are standard. Massage can be arranged in-room, and laundry turns around quickly. It is a small, family-run stay, built around movement between valley and shore rather than around the villa itself. Security runs around the clock.
