Villa Pedra
Cotas is a small village in the Sicó hills, and Villa Pedra is built from its stone. Eleven houses stand scattered through the settlement, two of them converted from the old village primary school, its former classrooms still furnished with objects from that era. Gardens are walled and private, running to different levels around each house, and most open onto views of the surrounding hills rather than each other. A shared salt-water pool sits at the centre of the property. Villa das Rosas is the largest, 270 square metres with two suites in the main house and a separate annexe, its own pool, and a mountain view from the terrace. Smaller houses, like Cerejeira and Jasmim, keep to one bedroom over two floors, with a covered porch or dining table set outside for warm evenings. Bread and cake arrive each morning, baked in a wood oven and left at the door with milk, eggs, jam, and cheese for guests to build their own breakfast at their own pace. The restaurant is closed for now; a digital directory of nearby places stands in its place. Minimum stays apply in high season.
