Villa Samadhi Kuala Lumpur
Set behind an unmarked timber gate off a quiet embassy-district street, Villa Samadhi gives little away from the road. Inside, the mood shifts: a lagoon pool anchors the property, and a circular dining room with a high ceiling looks out over its edge, open all day to residents for local and western dishes made from seasonal produce. The villa holds just 21 rooms, styled in modern Asian design rather than the usual hotel template. Two Crib rooms pair a high-set bed with a daybed by the window. Nine Luxe Crib rooms each differ slightly, built around a whirlpool tub. Four Sarang rooms open onto a timber-floored balcony. Four Luxe Sarang villas add a private plunge pool reached straight from a small garden. The Loft, under a pyramid ceiling, has its own plunge pool and a view that stretches to the Petronas Twin Towers. Rooms carry mini bars, safes, and tea and coffee sets as standard. It is a compact stay. The city centre, including KLCC and Bukit Bintang, sits about ten minutes away by road, and the villa itself is roughly 57.5 km from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, closer to an hour's drive depending on traffic. Check-in runs from 2pm, check-out at noon. Staff speak English and room service runs throughout the day.
