Villa Santa Cruz

The tented ocean suites are canvas on the outside, hotel comfort within: king beds, a standalone soaker tub, and a patio that opens straight onto the sand. Villa Santa Cruz sits on more than 20 acres between the Baja desert and the Pacific, in Todos Santos, and the property has grown in stages since the first hacienda-style buildings went up in the early 2000s. Rooms range across three styles. Bungalows and villa rooms sit among palms near the original main house; eight rooftop villas, added in 2022 and 2023, ring a 25-metre lap pool and come with private hot tubs and fireplaces. A working farm supplies the kitchens at Caracara and The Green Room, the property's two restaurants, and stables added in 2024 keep six horses for rides along the dunes at sunset. Mornings start with coffee brought to the door before the desert light reaches the water. You can walk from a rooftop terrace down to the beach in a few minutes, past the lake and gardens added during the pandemic-era expansion. The hotel remains independently owned by two families who built it from a single plot of raw coastline into its current form. A wellness spa and gym, under construction as of 2025, is due to open to guests and locals alike in February 2026.
