Volta Serene Hotel
Three hundred rooms on Kabakaba Hill, above Ho's rooftops
Skip to product information
Set on the slope of Kabakaba Hill, Volta Serene Hotel looks straight down over Ho, the Volta Region's capital. Its terraces catch the township by day and by lamplight, and the rooftop restaurant sits above the same rise, facing the same view. The property runs to 300 rooms, a range that stretches from Deluxe and Standard rooms through Junior and Executive Suites to a three-bedroom apartment and a Presidential Suite. Duplex chalets add a second storey, with a living room downstairs and a bedroom reached by an internal stair; single chalets keep to one level, each with its own washroom and a study table. Two restaurants cover the day's meals, pairing Ghanaian dishes with continental ones, and the hotel keeps its own farm supplying produce to the kitchen. A spa, gym, unisex salon, lawn tennis court and swimming pool sit within the grounds, alongside an indoor games room and a nightclub for evenings. It is a working conference base as much as a place to sleep, with function space for groups from 12 up to 800. Check-in runs from 3pm. Beyond the grounds, the Volta Region's waterfalls, hills and monkey sanctuary lie within reach for guests booking one of the hotel's tours.
