Voss Resort

Set beside the railway station in Voss, Voss Resort Fjellheisar runs a gondola straight from the platform to the mountain above, cutting the transfer from train to terrain to minutes. The resort spans three residential areas. Bavallstunet sits closest to the lift base, its apartments stacked over the reception building. Bavallslia lies just below the Bavallsekspressen lift, a quieter setting still within easy reach of the ticket office. Trastolen sits higher and more open, with some units offering ski-in, ski-out access in winter and direct trail access in summer. All cabins and apartments are self-catered, fitted with kitchens, WiFi and duvets, with parking near each unit. At the top of the gondola, Hangurstoppen Restaurant serves at 808 metres above sea level, with a menu running from soups and salads to burgers, pizza and mountain classics such as beef bourguignon. It is Vossafjella's largest mountain restaurant. The town itself lies about 99 km from Bergen, reachable by train, with the gondola base a short walk from the station. Guests without a car can leave the platform and be on snow, or grass in summer, within the hour. Check-in runs from 4pm, check-out by 11am.
