Guided Birding
Expert-led birding along the Zambezi riverbank at dawn
Skip to product information
Waterberry's guides lead walks along one kilometre of riverbank and through the surrounding woodland, tracking down the lodge's wide range of resident and migratory birds. Guests keen to extend the list can head into Mosi-o-Tunya National Park nearby. For an early start, a dawn boat trip on the Zambezi catches birds leaving their overnight roosts and setting off to feed, with flocks visible against the river and treeline. Guides point out species by call and sight as the outing moves between habitats. Binoculars and patience help, but the guides do the identifying.
