West Coast Marina

Grande Riviere Noire holds the island's one residential marina, and West Coast Marina sits inside it, canals threading between its low apartment blocks on the west coast of Mauritius. The village itself is a short walk away. Units are arranged over two floors and split across four types: two- and three-bedroom Deluxe and Premium apartments, a three-bedroom Penthouse with a private pool, and a larger Premium three-bedroom with its own pool and terrace overlooking the water. Each has a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning and a balcony or deck facing the canals or the wider marina. Furnishings run plain and modern rather than ornate. On site there is a communal pool, a gym, a restaurant and bar, and a spa; staff arrange massages, cooking courses and boat trips, and kayaks and sailing dinghies are available for guests who want to get out on the water directly. Fishing, from the quay or further out at sea, is a regular pursuit here. Beyond the marina gates, La Preneuse Beach and the Paradis Golf Club lie within easy reach, along with diving, snorkelling and deep-sea fishing charters that leave from the coast nearby. It is a self-catering base built around water rather than sand, suited to guests who want a boat within sight of their terrace. Check-in and check-out times follow standard hotel hours.
