Sommeliers Table Wine Tasting

Held in the lodge's dedicated Sommeliers Table dining room within the wine cellar, this tasting is guided by Wharekauhau's in-house sommelier through six selected wines. Three options structure the session: a run through six grape varieties from the Martinborough Terraces, a side-by-side of three Chardonnays against three Pinot Noirs to show how soil and climate shift the taste, or a six-wine spread spanning producers from California and New Zealand. Along the way, the sommelier talks through the regions, vintages and grape varieties behind each pour. Guests choose the format that suits their interest.
