Wilderness King's Pool – Barge Excursion *

Sundowners are taken afloat, aboard the Queen Silvia, an elegant colonial-style barge that drifts down the Linyanti River as the light fades. The barge takes its name from the Swedish queen who honeymooned here with King Gustaf in the mid-1900s, a couple so taken with Botswana that locals nicknamed her the Dancing Queen. The excursion runs water levels permitting, since the river's flow varies through the season. It is a quiet, low-key close to the day, watching the water and the banks slide past from the deck.
