Wilderness Little Vumbura – Boating *
Calm-water boat rides through the Delta's hippo and crocodile channels
Skip to product information
Little Vumbura sits deep in the Okavango Delta, and boating here means gliding along calm, permanent waterways rather than driving. It is a quiet way to watch wildlife: hippo and crocodile sightings in the channels are common, along with waterbirds along the reed lines. The boat moves slowly enough for close observation without disturbing what it passes. Water levels dictate the exact routes, but the activity runs most of the year. It pairs naturally with the camp's other water-based options, mokoro excursions and fishing, giving a different vantage point on the same flooded landscape than game drives or walks provide.
