Wilderness Little Vumbura – Game Drives
Morning and afternoon drives through the Vumbura Private Wilderness Area
Skip to product information
Game drives run in the mornings and afternoons across the Vumbura Private Wilderness Area, a concession leased from neighbouring rural communities, so ecotourism revenue here supports conservation directly. The terrain and seasonal flooding draw good numbers of plains game and predators. Sightings may include elephant and buffalo herds, sable antelope, zebra, wildebeest, tsessebe, lechwe and giraffe, alongside lion, leopard, African wild dog, spotted hyaena and, occasionally, cheetah. Guides read tracks and animal behaviour to follow the movement of game through the area. The concession's mix of floodplain and woodland means each drive covers varied ground rather than a single habitat.
